Meet Dr Demetrius Evirviades
Specialist in Plastic Reconstruction and Amputation Care

Dr Demetrius Evriviades is a UK- trained Consultant Plastic Surgeon with 20+ years of experience in plastic reconstruction, amputation rehabilitation, and targeted muscle reanimation (TMR). He has helped more than 200 young amputees worldwide with the latest surgical and therapeutic techniques to manage pain and improve function.
Born in Derby, Dr Demetrius graduated from Liverpool University and completed his surgical training in the Oxford and Trent regions, followed by advanced fellowships in complex microvascular reconstruction in Toronto, Canada. In addition, he pursued an intensive training program in Plastic and Reconstructive surgery in the UK and overseas at the prestigious Wharton Centre for Head and Neck Surgery, Toronto.
During his initial career, he gained advanced microsurgical fellowships in advanced reconstruction. After dedicating 22 years of service in the Royal Air Force as a doctor and operational service in Afghanistan and Northern Ireland, he has developed a unique specialty in treating amputee pain and rehabilitation.
Today, he is one of the most in-demand plastic surgeons, rehabilitating amputation patients with osseointegrated walking implants and targeted muscle reanimation (TMR). He is famously known for treating International paralympic athletes and medal winners in his career.
He has an international reputation in complex reconstruction and has been invited to give keynote lectures at International Conferences on his work. Some of his work reconstructing injured soldiers was explored in GQ Magazine in 2018.
